A most beautiful story

Grand Hotel Tremezzo Gazette 3

I can still vividly recall that day. I was sitting on the terrace of my Grand Hotel watching the sun’s reflections dance on the water. The sky was an almost ethereal blue, and the breeze brought with it the promise of spring.

I was simply happy. When I reached for my cup of coffee, the idea came to me: La Gazette del Grand Hotel Tremezzo. I imagined telling the story of a morning just like this one, amidst the splendor of Lake Como. It would be the most beautiful story in the world. And today, this story feels more urgent than ever before – if only I could put these emotions into words, I could reach each and every one of you. Just a dream that day – and now here we are. La Gazette has become a reality.

I am now back on that same terrace, on another glorious sun-kissed day, writing a few lines to introduce our new Gazette. For you, dear readers – those we have had the pleasure of meeting as well as those we hope to meet someday – every article is infused with the hospitality that defines Grand Hotel Tremezzo, with a love of all things beautiful and of this paradise we call home. Many dear friends will join us to share one hundred years of the stories and the personalities that have shaped the rich history of Grand Hotel Tremezzo and made it what it is today. Together, we will explore the lesser-known corners and the untold masterpieces of this unparalleled cultural landscape.

We will take your taste buds on an intoxicating, unforgettable journey – after all, the love language of Italy is food, and Grand Hotel Tremezzo one of its most eloquent interpreters. Naturally, we will also chronicle the news of the day in Italian fashion and lifestyle that evoke our lake’s timeless appeal.

The first Gazette appeared in the 18th century, just as the charms of Lake Como first captured the world’s imagination. It is my wish that La Gazette del Grand Hotel Tremezzo might convey the same exuberance, the same sense of style of those heady days. To travel, to discover, to encounter new people. Simply to be happy. I can tell our love of these things is mutual. We are already, in a sense, face to face. The coffee is almost ready. This, too, promises to be a most beautiful story...
