For centuries Lake Como has seduced the souls of travellers in search of peace and beauty. From the Latin writers to the great musicians of the nineteenth century, from European royalty to the Italian aristocracy, not to mention Hollywood stars, all have found a second home on the shores of our lake. Lake Como enchants with its historic mansions, ancient fishing villages, Romanesque churches, but also the architectural masterpieces of the ‘900.

Love the lake and want to discover its colours and moods in the luxury of times past? Don’t miss the opportunity to rent a boat and take to the waters. We’re always on hand to recommend the best routes for exploring the gems of the lake.

We can rent small boats to guests with limited boating experience that are safe and easy to sail. For more experienced sailors, we’re got a marvellous selection of traditional sailing boats and fast motorboats at your disposal. If, instead, you prefer to relax and be sailed around by an experienced captain, we’ve got a wide range of excursions aboard one of our wonderful boats on offer.

Batt is the newest arrival at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo marina. An elegant and exclusive boat designed by the architect Ruggero Vanelli, she was made-to-measure by the Vizianello shipyard in Venice, which has been a mainstay of traditional Italian shipbuilding since the 1950s. A must for water lovers of all ages, Batt is the perfect way to live the charms of Lake Como and feel part of a history defined by elegance, luxury and exclusivity.

Let us tell you a secret. Batt is named after Giovanni Battista Mallone, an ancestor of the family that brought the Grand Hotel Tremezzo back to its former glory, and proficient sailor – and his unforgettable excursions on the waters of the Lake.

An homage to the indefatigable allure of the aristocracy, our very own Ruy is a period Venetian motor launch, named after its first owner, Tiberio Ruy Brandolini d’Adda. Built in 1961 by the Cucchini shipyard in Venice, this magnificent water limousine – an example of superb nautical design – was “rediscovered” by the family owning the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

After months of careful restoration at the Ernesto Riva shipyard on Como, Ruy was returned to its former splendour. And as soon as we saw her, we imagined our guests cruising at sunset, popping champagne and living unforgettable moments.
