The Gardens

The Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace has a magnificent centuries-old private park of 20,000 sqm, behind the Palace, going up to the hill to a stunning breath-taking sight-seeing point where Bobo, the mascot of the hotel, will welcome you.

This park is directly adjacent to the botanical Gardens of Villa Carlotta, famous in the world.

In the middle of the park there are the swimming Pool of the Flowers, the tennis court, the healthy walk for jog-lovers, and precious corners  including the  brand-new Champagne Corner, where you can admire some art works by contemporary artists.

Art

• The presence of many art pieces by Italian artists from the XIX century is certainly a feature of the big park.
• The stairway leading to the garden, is dominated by the art piece "Fontana della Felicità" by Ico Parisi.
• Hidden thanks to a group of palms at the bottom of the hill, the carved cylinders by Nicola Salvatore forming "Foresta di Ferro" come out of the ground.
• The Bear Bobo, the Hotel mascot, part of the installation "Look at me" by Lucia Veronesi, invites all persons, who have reached the lookout on the top of the hill, to sit down and reflect in front of the striking panoramic spectacle of the two Lake Como arms, which rejoin themselves at Bellagio.

Nature

The park of Grand Hotel Tremezzo Palace has always represented one of its most precious jewels. It looks like an organic composition of all luxuriant gifts from nature: green meadows, coloured flowerbeds, azaleas bushes, rhododendrons and hydrangeas, centuries old trees.

Besides the well-kept gardens and the many-coloured flowerbeds, the hill behind the Hotel is ideal for a walk. Nature manifests itself there in its spontaneity and the typical local vegetation accompanies the visitors to the summit, from where it is possible to admire a spectacular view on the Lake.
